Travel and Tourism visit John Lennon Airport

On Monday 17th November, Newcastle-under-Lyme (NULC) Travel and Tourism learners visit Liverpool in order to a attend a guided tour around John Lennon Airport where they were given access to all of the functional areas including check in and security within the airport.

Learners were given the opportunity to access the EasyJet Crew room where they were given the opportunity to chat with Cabin Crew and Pilots about their experiences of working within the aviation industry and future career progression within it.

EasyJet is one of the biggest airlines in the United Kingdom flying out of all major airports to most of Europe and employs thousands of staff across helping over 50 million passengers get to destinations each year.

Travel and Tourism Curriculum Leader Beth Bell said: "It's a fantastic experience for the learners to get industry knowledge and get a feel of what it might be like to work for a large airline."

Learners at NULC will now use this experience to help complete their next assignment which will entail how the airport can provide the best possible service to cater to a range of different people.
